I was offered the opportunity by Parent Coaching Institute to create a short video sharing about what I have been doing as a parent and parent coach to survive/thrive/manage this time of COVID-10 quarantine. We were also invited to ask fellow parents a question. Here’s my short video.

“Hi there! My name is Emily Mathon and I am a PCI Certified Parent Coach in Charlottesville, Virginia. I wanted to tell you a little bit about what has been working for me and my family during this time. One of them has definitely been…bubbles! Playing outside with bubbles has been a surprise. I have an 8-year old and a 12-year old and all of us have found a way to enjoy playing with bubbles. So that’s one thing. The other thing that has been really supporting us has been reaching out and supporting other people. I have been offering phone calls once a week for parents: sharing about what’s been going on & sharing some tips on how to get through this time. My daughter has been organizing crafting activities online with friends. My son has take every opportunity to give my husband a hug when he comes out of his home office; that’s his way of helping other people.

My question for you is: How can you use your gifts, your talents, your strengths to share them with other people? What can you give? Even if it’s a sweet hug or the joy of bubbles…What can you do for other people that will help lift your day? Thanks!”
